Join us for VOICES of Kentuckiana’s breathtaking Spring Concert “We Are,” where we celebrate the power of voices, music, and identity.
Dive into the incredible world of composer TJ Cole, member of the inaugural Louisville Orchestra Creators Corps, and their captivating work Those Moments, a groundbreaking piece about gender. Originally commissioned for Nashville In Harmony and Intersection, an LGTBQ+ chorus and contemporary music ensemble based in Tennessee, this mesmerizing creation explores a new language for our chorus — and our audiences — taking us on a journey of self-discovery and unity. In light of the ongoing struggle for transgender rights and acceptance, this timely piece now resonates on an even deeper level.
This emotionally moving performance of Those Moments will be accompanied by a small chamber ensemble, featuring members of the Louisville Orchestra.
Inspired by Leonard Bernstein’s call to make music more passionately in the face of violence, our program also includes a collection of recognizable and uplifting songs. From soulful jazz numbers by Inner Voices to philosophical musings, we aim to heal hearts and inspire action through the power of music.
Don't miss this unforgettable evening to come together as a community and celebrate diversity, love, plus the healing magic of music. Get your tickets now and be prepared for an incredible, immersive experience that will leave you transformed.
