The IU Southeast Rock Ensemble is made up primarily of music and interdisciplinary program majors but is open to all students of the university. The ensemble’s repertoire and rehearsal methods are student-led and drawn from popular music forms not typically seen in the university setting, such as rock, hip hop, electronic music, just to name a few. Lighting and sound reinforcement is also designed and performed by students.
