HELIO CASTRONEVES

Indiana University Southeast is proud to welcome legendary race car driver, Helio Castroneves, as the featured speaker for the 2026 Sanders Speaker Series on September 9th in the Ogle Center. One of the most recognizable personalities in motorsports, Castroneves will share his inspiring journey of perseverance, determination, and success both on and off the racetrack.

A four-time Indianapolis 500 champion and the only race car driver to win ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Castroneves is known for his infectious enthusiasm, signature fence-climbing victories, and inspiring perseverance. Beyond the racetrack, he is a bestselling author, television personality, and motivational speaker who continues to captivate audiences with his remarkable story of determination, resilience, and success.

This event is free to attend, but a ticket will be required for entry.

The Sanders Speaker Series was made possible through the vision and generosity of IU Southeast alumnae Judge Carlton and Sue Sanders. The couple’s goal for the series is to bring world-class speakers and experts to the IU Southeast campus to present vital issues to our community.

All Indiana University events, programs, groups, activities, educational, cultural, and historical observances are open to all members of the Indiana University community.
